Exploring Toronto: The three places you must go to while in the city
Not many of you know this, but I was born in Toronto. This
month I traveled to this wonderful city in order to visit my family, attend a
few fashion events, and of course, feel the great cozy feeling of the Toronto
Fall. I was more than excited when the Travel-At team thought it would be great
to write about my favorite places to go to in Toronto. So here are the three
areas you cannot miss when you go there.

המקומות והרחובות שפשוט אסור לכם להחמיץ.

The Royal Ontario Museum
- Bloor Street:
The first place I decided to go to this time in my trip was Bloor. What I
love about Bloor Street is that it is right in the center of the city and
it is one of the nicest, accessible locations around. I started my journey
at Bloor and Yonge (The longest street in the world) which is full of
luxury shops, Designer stores, Cafe’s and also tall buildings and offices.
From there, I began to walk west, where I crossed Bay Street and also many
stores such as Dolce Gabbana, Prada, Hermes, Gucci and many more. I
stopped walking when I hit St. George Street, which is a really meaningful
place to me since this corner combines three things I cannot live without:
Art, Fashion and a lovely Starbucks. You can find there the Royal Ontario
Museum which has extraordinary art and Science exhibits and is well known
all over the world. Right near it, you can visit the BATA Shoe museum
which is a five floor impressive showcase of shoes from different periods
and cultures. Lastly, there is a really pretty Starbucks branch beside
these two museums which you are very likely to find me sitting at while
illustrating and drinking out of my Vanilla Latte. When I have extra time
I always like to walk a little bit south to the University of Toronto
campus which reminds me so much of the magical school Hogwarts from Harry
Potter and is absolutely breathtaking.
1.נחיתה רכה: אחרי טיסה ארוכה
ומייגעת, נחתתי ישר במרכז העיר ברחוב עמוס בחנויות יוקרה כמו: דולצ'ה וגאבנה,
גוצ'י והרמס לצד בוטיקים של מעצבים מקומיים ובתי קפה, רחוב בלור.
שוטטי לבדי ברחוב לכיוון מערב העיר, לפתע הכה בי רחוב ג'ורג',
שבו נמצא השילוש הקדוש שלי: אופנה, אומנות וסטארבקס.
ברחוב ג'ורג' תוכלו למצוא בין היתר את המוזיאון הממלכתי של
אנטוריו, המציג תערוכות מדהימות המשלבות אומנות ומדע. בסמוך אליו ישנו גם מוזיאון
הנעליים באטא, שם תוכלו להתענג על חמש קומות עם מגוון זוגות נעליים מתקופות
ותרבויות שונות.
ליד שני המוזיאונים האלו ישנו סניף גדול ומרשים של סטארבקס, שבו
סביר להניח תמצאו אותי שותה את המשקה האהוב עלי, ונילה לאטה.
יחד עם פלאי התרבות האלו, ישנו מקום נוסף שאני אוהבת להסתובב
בו, הוא הקמפוס האונבירסיטאי של טורונטו, כיוון שהוא מדהים ביופיו ונראה כמו העתק
כמעט נאמן למקור של בית הספר לקסמים הוגוורטס (של הארי פוטר).
The BATA Shoe Museum
- Queen Street: Another Area I truly enjoy going to is Queen Street. This great street is full of cool Vintage stores such as my favorite one, “Black Market” where you can find two floors with the coolest vintage pieces for only ten Dollars each. Also, the biggest shopping center in Toronto “The Eaton Center” is located right at the Queen- Yonge Subway Station. You can find there five stories of pure shopping. It is also a pleasure going to the Nathan Philips Square where you can go skating in the winter and see the exquisite Christmas lights reflect at night on the rink.

הוינטג': רחוב קווין נמנה מבחינתי ברשימת הרחובות הכי מגניבים שיש, משתי סיבות:
הראשונה היא עשרות חנויות וינטאג', הסיבה השניה היא הבלאק מרקט, חנות ענק המכילה
שתי קומות של פיסים עתיקים מכל הזמנים במחיר ממוצע של עשרה דולרים לפריט.
ואם זה לא מספיק שופינג, ברחוב קווין תוכלו גם למצוא את מרכז
הקניות הגדול ביותר בטורנטו, איטון סנטר, המכיל חמש קומות של שופינג, כמו שמי
שהמציא את המילה התכוון.
אחרי שתרוו משופינג, ממליצה לכם ללכת לנוח בכיכר היפייפיה נייתן
פיליפיס, במיוחד אם אתם בתקופת חג המולד, האורות המרצדים שם בלילה פשוט מדהימים.

The last place I would like to recommend is the wonderful King Street. It is one subway station south of queen but is actually in an easy walking distance. King Street is an amazing city-like Business district with charming architecture and construction. In my opinion, it is one of the most inspiring places in Toronto. If you walk a little bit south you can also see go see the CN Tower which was the world’s tallest structure up until 2007. Furthermore, you can go walk up the Harbourfront which is a wonderful port with many restaurants and festivals during the summer.

הרחוב האחרון שאותו אסור לכם לפספס הוא רחוב קינג, הוא האזור העסקי והעסוק ביותר
בטורנטו, שם רוב המשרדים ואנשי הייטק יושבים.
אני התאהבתי באזור הזה מסיבה
אחרת, הבניה הויקטוריאנית המשגעת לצד אדריכלות מודרנית.
אם תלכו לחלק הדרומי של הרחוב
תוכלו לראות את מגדל CN המרשים, שעד 2007 היה
המגדל הכי גבוה בעולם, ואם תמשיכו עוד קצת ללכת תגיעו לנמל Harbourfront הנפלא עתיר מסעדות ומקומות בילוי שווים במיוחד.
